The VI Peel is a specialized chemical peel specifically designed to target issues on all skin types and tones. With a VI Peel Kansas City patients can address sun damage, acne, acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, and signs of aging. With all of these unique formulations available, nearly anyone looking to improve their skin using a non-invasive, non-surgical technique is a great candidate for a VI Peel. These products are a great option for both men and women and while most of our VI Peel clients are in their 30s to 60s, the peels are safe for teens as young as 13 who may be struggling with acne.
We commonly combine a VI Peel with other treatments, including injectables, to produce a beautifully comprehensive and totally rejuvenated result. One popular offering is the ToxBooster Treatment, which includes a peel and a neurotoxin. When combined, there is a 60% reported decrease in wrinkles compared to only a 37% decrease when a neurotoxin injectable is used alone.
Our goal is to ensure that patients are informed and aware of all possible outcomes, expected results, and necessary preparation. At a consultation, we will determine if one of the VI Peels is right for you, decide if there are any bonus treatments that might be beneficial, and create a custom treatment plan.
During your VI Peel appointment, our licensed aesthetician will ensure that you are relaxed and comfortable in one of our relaxing treatment rooms. Then, the skin will be cleansed, and the chosen peel serum will be applied gradually in layers. In most cases, your session will take no more than about 30 minutes, but the peel will need to be left on for at least four hours. It can then be rinsed off at home with cool water and our aesthetician will provide you with post care products and instructions.
Often, results can be seen as soon as seven days after treatment, and there is no required downtime, unlike many harsher peels. Most patients see great, vibrant, clear-skin results for three to four months.
