Remove Unwanted Body Hair With Laser Hair Removal

Waxing, shaving, plucking — these are all time consuming and uncomfortable, and must repeated over and over. Thankfully, there is an easier way to manage unwanted body hair. Laser hair removal is a safe, effective, long-term solution to eliminating unwanted body hair.

Following laser hair removal, patients can look forward to significantly less waxing, shaving, and plucking, allowing more time to enjoy life. In addition, by eliminating the need for traditional methods of hair removal, laser hair removal treatment also eliminates concerns over rashes and other skin irritations commonly caused by shaving or waxing.

Who Is It For?

Most people are good candidates for laser hair removal treatment. Laser hair removal is safe for all skin tones, including pale complexions and darker skin. Those with skin conditions should have a consultation with one of our expert aestheticians to be sure their skin will tolerate treatment, but generally, even those with mild skin conditions are still able to undergo laser hair removal.

How Does It Work?

Laser hair removal uses Broad Band Light technology to get below the skin’s surface and target the base of the hair inside the hair follicle. The laser emits pulses just long enough to damage the follicle and permanently inhibit future hair growth. Most patients see an 80 to 90 percent reduction in unwanted body hair growth after laser hair removal. The procedure is safe for use on all parts of the body, including the legs, arms, armpits, back, and bikini line.

Our expert aestheticians uses the Sciton Broad Band Light Laser for laser hair removal. Sciton Broad Band laser hair removal offers several benefits over other laser hair removal technologies, including:

  • Appropriate for all areas of the body
  • Portable, and lightweight, allowing for ease of use and maximum control

Treatment Regimen

Laser hair removal typically involves four to seven treatments for maximum effectiveness. The number of treatments will depend on the area being treated, the quality and amount of hair being removed, and other factors that will be discussed during consultation. There is no downtime with laser hair removal, and most patients resume their daily activities immediately after treatment. On rare occasion, patients may need a touch-up treatment.

Risks And Side Effects

During laser hair removal, patients may feel mild discomfort similar to that of a rubber band snapping against the skin. Slight redness or swelling around treated area may occur.
